Wilson's Promontory

On the way to Wilson's Promontory we stopped at Sale for 2 nights. There is a great adventure playground at the Sale Botanic Gardens and our kids had a fun time playing in the sunshine.

We only had a brief stop (2 nights) at Wilson's Promontory but we had a great time there with our friends Michael, Melissa, Willow and Sakari. The kids always play so well together and are able to make up all sorts of games from the nature surrounding them. It is wonderful to observe and listen to their play. I know our kids really enjoy their time with their "new friends" and we enjoy Michael and Melissa's company too.

We visited Squeaky Beach. So named because the sand is meant to squeak when you walk on it. We were all rather underwhelmed by this as the sand really didn't squeak unless you walked barefoot and tried to make it. I've been to loads of other beaches where the sane was much more squeaky. BUT, at one end of the beach there is a natural maze formed by rocks and we all had a great time roaming around and getting lost in among these.

We saw some fantastic views

And saw some wildlife up close and personal

I didn't get photos of the wombat we saw, but we saw heaps at Kangaroo Valley.
