One Last look at Port Augusta
We headed back to Port Augusta from Flinders Ranges and I have never been so happy to have a heater and a nice, hot shower! Even better than that was the good news that our friends would be able to travel up the middle (well, some of it) with us!!! We were all happy to hear that... and so we had a couple of days wait while they got their new car (in case you missed it, a rat killed their old one) and were able to join us in Port Augusta.
I finally got some good photos of the awesome red cliff to the west of the caravan park. This was a great sight every day, along with the view of the Flinders Ranges.
We made a day trip to Whyalla. It kinda felt like home - a steel manufacturing town with big ships off shore - but quite a bit smaller. As usual we "enjoyed" a playground, which was actually pretty cool for the kids.
